The group leaves the fleeing children from Renford to the next town and then heads on to the next major city: Point Bourne. After some searching they find a tired and weary looking Davin at the Silver Sword Tavern. They update him on the situation (minus the Khadoran blackmail) and he tells them he is waiting for some information, but has been unable to find Rokaran. The Ogrun apparently wondered out into the Thronwood forest to the north about 4 weeks ago, and has not been seen since. Davin has searched for him, but alone he has come up short. He implores the group to find out more.
Rokaran’s last employer was Lord Bradshaw, a wealthy minor noble in the city. Using real and faked credentials as nobles themselves, Sebastian and Mouse get an audience with him. Bradshaw seems distant and worried, and after some convincing and an appeal to his noble duty he reveals that his daughter, Sarah, is missing. She began acting strangely, slowly turning feral and animal-like, and he hired Rokaran to protector her from the outside, and herself. She eventually escaped, and the last he saw of Rokaran the Ogrun was chasing after the girl into the wilderness. Bradshaw desperately wants his daughter and only child back, but also the secret kept.
With a direction in hand, the group heads to the headquarters of the 1st army in hopes of acquiring some reconnaissance of that area. Sebastian is able to talk his way into the military compound. The success is short lived when suddenly Cygnaran Warjacks suddenly charge out, and a warcaster wielding a massive rifle appears on the roof. It seems she does not take kindly to Ryovin’s presence.
